Levi's is a brand comes under a private clothing company Levi Strauss & Company, which is headquartered in San Francisco, USA. In addition to Levi's, which is the most famous brand of the company, under Levi Strauss & Co. come also other brands - Dockers, Signature by Levi Strauss & Co. and dENiZEN.

Levi's brand's history began in the fifties of the 19th century, when Jewish immigrant Levi Strauss began to produce coarse cloth for covering tents. In some time, he began to produce special pants from the fabric called "serge de nimes", which gave the name today´s trousers made of denim. In 1872, Strauss teamed up with its customer Jacob Davis who advised him how to extend the lifespan of Levi's pants pockets – the connection of the upper corners using rivets. At the same time was added to the pants the original stitch design pocket. A year later, they patented this type of pants and it is considered as the origin of denim trousers.

With varying degrees of success the company survived the 20th century and currently is the most popular worldwide, not only by producing denim wear. Its stores can be found in more than 110 countries worldwide.
