Max Mara was founded in 1951 in an Italian family tailor's shop. The idea of the founder Achille Maramotti to produce high-quality, exclusive design fashion on a large scale led to the fact that Max Mara became one of Italian leading fashion houses. The design was initially inspired by French fashion and was reinterpreted in traditional Italian style. In sixties, Achille Maramotti was inspired by the style of young British fashion scene, especially in London, and designed Sportmax collection: emphatically young and sporty fashion for women who want to personalize their style. Today, Max Mara is the shop window of Italy and is internationally respected. All models are made in the best tailor´s tradition.
