Swedish clothing company H&M retails clothes for the whole family - men, women, children and teenagers too. This company was founded after the WWII by Erling Persson; it was called Hennes and engaged in selling clothes only for women. Twenty years later, Persson bought the company Mauritz Widforss, put men's clothes into offer and the company got name Hennes & Mauritz. In the mid-sixties, the company has embarked on a significant European expansion, and began mass-open their stores. The first H&M store in America was opened even in March 2000 on 5th Avenue in New York. It took quite a long time before the company started to sell through their web sites. American customers were the first ones who had the opportunity to shop online – H&M opened online shopping to the public in August 2013. Since then, there are more and more online stores opened in a lot of countries all around the world. Fashion brand H&M is also known for frequent collaboration with celebrities and artists – in the past, for H&M were designed collections by Madonna, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Kylie Minogue and many others. Very positive perceived event was also the collaboration with Jimmy Choo, who introduced for H&M a limited edition of affordable shoes and handbags mostly made of leather.
