Escada is an international luxury fashion company, designing women's branded clothing. Escada was founded by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley in 1978 in Munich, Germany. Soon they experienced great success with the distinctive and imaginative pieces in bold color combinations and patterns, with exclusive appliques and very sophisticated knitted fashion. Escada had experienced a rapid increase and began to continuously expand its collections and creative work. During its international expansion in 1994, Escada launched sports brand Escada Sport – it represents sports equipment and accessories such as bags and shoes. During designing this collection, Escada succeed in establishing collaboration with Procter & Gamble. Escada has everything what an elegant woman and a young lady needs - from handbags and shoes through glasses and perfumes to the children's fashion. Escada dresses are often seen on celebrities on the Hollywood red carpet and its perfumes are popular among many women around the world. Currently Escada includes segments of fashion (women's fashion and sports design), accessories (handbags, shoes, small leather goods) and licensed products (perfumes, children's fashion). Exclusive materials and very feminine design ensure the brand the leading position in the global market for almost 40 years.
