Almost 50 years, the company called Petland exists, which was founded in Ohio in 1967. Initially, the company had several pet stores only in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky, but within a few years, this company has become a franchise and began to grow rapidly. At the end of the 80s there were opened first Petland stores in Canada and now you can find these pet stores in a total of 8 countries around the world - most Petland pet stores are naturally in United States. But the global economic crisis in 2008 unfortunately greatly affected this company and it was forced to close several of its pet stores. Luckily, Petland handled this crisis and continues with selling fish, birds, puppies, kittens and small animals in almost 200 stores. Petland has been, is, and probably will be the American leader in the area of animal care with ongoing staff training programs and special service programs focused on placing homeless pets and preventing unwanted litters in the community.
